Your breaking your promise!

Well yeah...When I started this blog I made a promise to myself that I will be writing almost every day.Hmm...maybe summer wasn`t the best time to make promises like this.
Oh well.
We had two concerts the last two weekends.
The first one wasn`t a big success...at least that`s the way I feel about it.But we had a great time and that`s what counts!

13 of us slept at my friends house. We where like sardines in a can.Filled up the entire room, there was no space to walk. :) We spent the morning watching cartoons until everyone woke up and we could drive home.
The second concert was better (I think) Or maybe I need to have more confidence? I will say it again: we had a great time and that`s what counts! :)

After the show we went to my best friends birthday party.
I completely forgot about the present,so the day before her birthday I was crocheting like crazy to finish this bag for her.

On the end it turned out awesome and she loved it too. :)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Easy and quick to make. And it will spice up any outfit.
You will need: fabric of choice, scissors, embroidery floss, stuffing, needle and thread and a piece of cardboard.
1.Cut a circle from your fabric, and a smaller circle from the cardboard.

2.Draw and embroider your pattern on the fabric.

3.Sew a stitch along the edge of the circle.Pull the thread so you have a little sack.

4.Stuff the brooch.I used cotton wool.

Planning,drawing

A few days ago I planned out 9 brooches to make.I don't know where this sudden obsession with them came, but lately I'm not leaving the house without wearing one. :)
I always liked brooches,my mom made me wear tiny ones when I was little all the time.
This lovely brooch came in the mail yesterday as part of a swap:

You will need:
-a spoon
-forceps

Until it breaks. If its a cheap spoon,it will be much easier to break.

Use your forceps to make a hook on the part where it broke.

Put it on a chain or leather strip.

I made them in felting camp where I go every summer for the last 11 years. For two years now,I started to teach kids how to felt in the same camp.
Every bag is wet felted, and all the handles are made by me.Each took me at least two days to make and I love every single one of them.

A better day...

After a series of bad days Im hoping this weekend will be much better. We are going to a friends party today,I cant wait to relax and have a good time.
We are having great weather the last few days, the sun is shining like crazy. :)
After I burned my fingers two days ago,I asked my friend to do my nails to cheer me up.The plan worked. :D Here's the result:

I hope it gets extra purple like last time. :)

All shades of green

I just came home from my mother-in-laws and went to check on the garden. All this green is so soothing and relaxing...
I would love to have a bench and table in the garden so I could sit there all day.It would be awesome to knit or crochet looking at this view.

Well, the strawberries are still a bit sick from all that rain, but there was enough to bake a cake in the afternoon.Yumm... :)

Look at all the poppy-heads:

My granny sells them on the local marketplace.

Aaaand even my lovely cactuses are bringing some flowers:
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
This one I got from a granny who sells next to my granny on the market. Its funny, how every cactus I get as a present grows and blooms beautifully, but some that I buy myself stay sick and small.

I wish I could be a cat and lay in the bushes all day...
